The debate on Europe is often unreal; we speak of a continent that does not exist, sum of "nation states" not dialoguing and, increasingly, in competition. Europe remains an ideal of the "founding fathers"; european citizenship is a utopia, european politics is a black hole without visions. Europe, today, is not a strategic entity at international level but only a large potential market; to have a future, Europe needs to share a clear political and strategic choice.
