New direction of politics (Edgar Morin)

E. Morin says that the new direction of politics is the direction of human realities (the "worlds-of-life) that are, at the same time, related to the survival and to the ability of any person to fulfill its own potential and to exercise its own freedom within the human community, enriching it in an original and not repeatable way. The time has come to go beyond, in thought and particularly in the political thought, the contrast between individual and community to conceive the one and the other as a "polarity in dialogue"; the alternative is a mutilated and mutilating thinking, "resigned" to unilateral solutions.
