Cities 2030. A global call to responsibility (Marco Emanuele)

Our cities, which in many cases are ungoverned jungles, give us the evidence of our delay in relation to history. From places of relationship and sociability, cities are turning into places of disintegration and degeneration of the human project.

As citizens, we have the historic responsibility to contribute to realize the objective n. 11 of the UN Agenda 2030, Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, re-thinking a culture of the city as "complex contexts" and working to ensure the "right to the city" for all.

Without exception, all are called to live this responsibility: local, regional, national and international institutions, universities, research centers, representatives of religions and of the so-called "civil society".

We hope that our initiative "Cities 2030" will become a "global campaign" of reflection for action.
