In today's world it seems to prevail a violence without roots and without enemies, banal, totalitarian.
"Laissez-faire" to the primal instincts dominates, incomprehensible and - at the same time - unacceptable to our reason that understands only certainties and does not accept the natural differences and contradictions of the human condition (starting with ourselves).
We develop more and less we are able to live; this, of course, calls for our renewed historical responsibility, for a complex thought, for a complex politics to understand and to govern the "signs of the times". In short, in combating violence we face every day, we are called to rethink what we are; not just repression, we need to share historical visions.
