We are water (Marco Emanuele)

To better understand the international relations is crucial to use the "complex thought" and the "metaphor of water". In fact, nothing of what is happening around us can be analyzed according to the logic of' the "disciplinary eye" and every human phenomenon is naturally interrelated with each other and dynamically. Understanding international relations, doing geopolitics, means adopting a "global method" of analysis of the "complex contexts" that we call "worlds-of-life".

We are like water, we adapt to different situations we encounter, and we do not have, in our being humans, the artificial idea of the borders (human person is, naturally, "border-out"). In fact, as human persons, we are citizens of the world and we reciprocally bring, in this condition, our cultural and religious beliefs. This positive "contamination" is the very essence of the phenomenon that we call globalization.

In today's a-polar world, globalization has been reduced to a technocratic and dominant model, with no political soul; it is as if someone wanted to stop the water, continually raising dams, trying to go against the natural evolution of human history. The "political vacuum" in which we are "prisoners" is the main cause of the "world war in chapters" in which our certainties have become our own worst enemy.
