Walking the extra mile can be tough: India and Sri Lanka yet to resolve trade issues (N. Sathiya Moorthy, South Asia Monitor)

Rarely do governments and Prime Ministers walk the extra-mile to back a trade or technical cooperation agreement with another country. It is more so in the case of sensitive neighbours, where domestic politics and geo-strategic concerns have remained a nagging bilateral problem. Not now in the case of Sri Lanka and its larger, northern neighbour, India, or so it would seem.
