Moneyless Business: Barter Transactions Increase Worldwide (Valentin Katasonov, Strategic Culture Foundation)

As part of human history, money will not last forever. True, with global supply on the rise, money is increasingly in demand today. The reason is simple: instead of real economy the printing press production goes to financial markets, where risky financial transactions are widely practiced. Even if one has the money in a bank, it’s becoming hard to use it as it turns into an instrument of speculation to benefit the owners of printing presses.

Global Finance and the Robin Hood Tax (Valentin Katasovon, Strategic Culture Foundation)

After the first wave of the global financial crisis (2007-2009) receded, economists began to ponder how a recurrence could be prevented. Thus the idea arose of introducing a «Robin Hood tax» – a tax on interbank transactions that would cool bankers’ speculative fervor and preclude the formation of bubbles in the financial markets.

The Fantasy World of Central Bank Interest Rates Has Set the Stage for the Second Wave of the Global Financial Crisis (Valentin Katasonov, Strategic Culture Foundation)

Starting from February, deposits made with the Bank of Japan began to accrue negative interest. The interest rate at the Central Bank of Japan now stands at minus 0.1%. This is no longer seen as shocking. The central banks in developed countries began backing into the negative zone for passive operations several years ago.
