Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet reshuffle and the restructuring of ministries is the beginning of the implementation of the promising transformation plan. Some of the obvious challenges that the new ministries will address include enhancing the performance of the government to ensure efficiency and productivity, injecting new blood into government departments to stimulate change and introducing new cultural and social programs to build citizenship and influence a more moderate and progressive society

A road map to implement Vision 2030 (Samar Fatany, Al Arabiya)
The national transformation plan continues to be the subject of discussion among all segments of society. There are those who are ardent supporters, others are skeptics, and there are also doubters. The supporters believe that it is a brilliant plan that will save the country from a pending economic crisis. The skeptics believe that the plan is too ambitious and that it will be very difficult to realize its goals. As for the doubters, they believe that we do not have the manpower or the know-how to implement such a gigantic project.

Can Arab Gulf women be successful as peace negotiators? (Samar Fatany, Al Arabiya)
Ittijahat one of the most popular programs of the Rotana Khalijiah TV network featured a special edition of women in the Gulf and highlighted the need to promote role of women as agents for peace in the region. In a frank and bold discussion, the eloquent talk show host Nadine Bedair prodded two prominent women and myself to address the need to strengthen the role of women in the transformation process of Gulf societies.
