In the a-polar world, "left" and "right" in politics no longer have sense. Today the problem is the clash between "emptied" democracies and pre-totalitarian signals. We must re-think democracy and, realistically, understand the reality-that-is. In the exasperation of competition we forget cooperation and we risk sacrificing dialogue and freedom in the name of the clash of civilizations and security.
