Progressed but inhuman (Marco Emanuele)

George Steiner, in the book La passione per l'assoluto, argues that the threshold of humanity is gradually lowering Steiner claims so with many examples, pointing out that today there are more children slaves than in all other periods of the history of humanity.
I agree with Stenier and I add that each of us has a part of responsibility, to favor short-term gains, in privileging the exasperated competition instead of cooperation. And 'so that, gradually, we risk finding ourselves progressed but inhuman.
